Death in Charlottesville

SHARE
A killing took place in Charlottesville and a man has been charged with murder. This case is sub judice. A lot of scuffles and violent incidents took place for which left wing protesters may be to blame. Again sub judice. Yet the bias against President Trump,  from the BBC and Jon Sopel etc., because he condemned extremism and violence without singling out the far right, beggars belief.

I have absolutely no time whatsoever for Sir Oswald Mosley, but, according to Lord Skidelsky's biography, most of the violence in the Battle of Cable St was committed by communists, not fascists. I remember saying that to a man at my college, who gave me a look of absolute hatred.

  1. What happened in Charlottesville over the weekend could have been predicted. But everybody just ignored the obvious truth that any political advantage gained by exacerbating racial tensions would be temporary, and sooner or later, the designated bad guys would push back with their own version of identity politics. Well, it looks like the sooner is now later, and the ugliness is just getting started."

“Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution inevitable,” said John F. Kennedy.

    1. The fact of the matter is the Alt-Right went to assemble peacefully in order to protest the removal of monuments. Charlottesville police deliberately stood down and let Antifa loose on the Alt-right marchers like a pack of rabid dogs, throwing bricks, sticks, toxic liquids and urine. It doesn't matter what your opinions of the white nationalists is, this is the fact of what happened. The Unite the Right attendees did not initiate the violence. The alt-right never turn up to attack antifa or BLM for holding rallies. It's always only the other way round. The state violated the constitutional rights of the Alt right marchers and let Antifa and BLM do the knife work for them. Antifa are the establishment's shock troops to beat down white resistance to their forced minoritization via third world immigration.

The reality is that if you're white European your culture and people have been slated for destruction. You are having (or in Eastern Europe soon will have) diversity forced on you at gunpoint and if you have no right to peaceful protest. Not longer even in America. Mass violence is always tolerated by the Western globalist establishments so long as it is directed against those wishing to preserve European civilisation. Blacks were allowed to riot for days in Ferguson and no state of emergency was called. Feral mobs in Durham are allowed to tear down a confederate statue and receive a slap on the wrist by police. If a group of whites had decided to march on a statue of MLK with the intention to rip it down and stomp on it, mass arrests would be immediate, police beatings and even the National Guard and FBI would be called in.

  2. In today's speech Donald just (tardily) singled out Nazis and the KKK. His enemies made him do it. Donald is such a victim. He is weak and not a real man. Sad!

  3. You may need a little American context here. Charlottesville is a charming, nostalgic town, home to one of the US's oldest and best (and most conservative) public universities. Americans are shocked and distressed that public violence took place there, as shocked as Brits would be if someone got killed at Oxford.
President Trump reacts cruelly, swiftly, and by name on Twitter to anyone who crosses him. His uncharacteristic silence and non-specificity on this event has been noticed and rebuked by fellow Republicans. He'll probably get away with it again, but strikes are mounting one by one against this president.

  4. My fear is that there are such a lot of men out there who wish to and prefer to however do not because of the way in which society would deal with them.

  5. Hello

You are receiving this post because you appear to have consistently blogged in favor of Donald Trump. I no longer provide individual responses to this. It has been my experience that Trump apologists are universally incapable of accepting verifiable truths about him and, by extension, themselves, thus rendering any attempt at counterpoint null. In order to save time I wish you all the best with your ongoing battle with reality in whatever era you are currently living.

    Yours
    Ted

    1. Agreed wholeheartedly. Even if I was willing to give him the benefit of the doubt, he is proving to be the worst President of the US in living memory. Even Hillary could not have disgraced the office as much as he has done in the last few days.

  9. Ted is the voice of reason. Paul you are now so worryingly far beyond the pale that I fear for your sanity.
    You're not funny any more.

  11. In the minds of MSM reporters and cuckservatives it is the right-wing views of the "Unite-the-Right" attendees that made them the party responsible for the violence. Objective reality doesn't matter to these people. Even if "Unite the right" attendees had fallen asleep and been beaten to death by antifa they would still be deemed responsible for the violence. I am not a Trump sycophant but his press conference was magnificent. He handled the fake news lying press very well and "Alt-left" was a linguistic kill shot.

  12. Whatever topic Trump handles he is always unnecessarily divisive.

  14. Trump just pardoned Sheriff Joe Arpaio. The man who made inmates eat rotten food and in whose jails scores died -- Christians, not Muslims. The guy he sent to Hawaii to hint that Obama's birth certificate was fake although he had no information to confirm that allegation.
Not giving Trump the benefit of the doubt much these days. I am sure you can see why.

  15. The Left are naturally violent, in imagery, thought and deed

  16. "The hagiography of the British M.P. Jo Cox illustrated well the fact that the Left cherishes its martyrology. It is so rarely confronted with victims by its opposing ideology that it can name them, praise them, remember them, and bestow secular sainthood upon them. By contrast, the untold millions of faceless and nameless victims of Communism, and the untold tens of thousands of forgotten victims of multicultural and Islamist violence, are simply too much for the Right to fully digest and venerate. We drown in the glut of our martyrs while the Left glories in the personal touch afforded by the paucity of its fallen. The death of Heather Heyer, detached in Leftist minds from its questionable circumstances, was somehow much-needed ‘proof’ that the Alt Right really were ‘domestic terrorists.’ This ‘proof’ in hand, the media, the political establishment, the hostile cultural apparatus, the ‘deep state,’ and the technocracy in Silicon Valley could move into over-drive in their generation of, and response to, an entirely artificial moral panic."
