President Hillary would have been a disaster

Susan Sarandon: ‘I thought Hillary was very dangerous. If she'd won, we'd be at war.’
The worst thing about a victory for Hillary Clinton, apart from her being President, a position for which she is clearly not fit and which would have led to tragic and unnecessary wars (she destroyed Libya, remember), is the empowerment her victory would have given to the Republican and Democratic party establishments - and to the American establishment generally.

The times require people to come up with new ideas. A sea-change is needed. President Trump, whatever else he does, came with new ideas and, whether or not he is a relative success or utter failure, he should mark a needed and far-reaching change.

Even if he fails badly, there is no going back to the world before November 9, 2016.

The Democrats expected to win the presidency last year, but to lose the election in 2020. Both parties now know that the old songs no longer bring in the crowds.

  1. NATO, Cameron, Hollande and Obama presided over the Libya attack just as much or more than Mrs Clinton.

I wish you could have been forced to spend the last year here in the US, Mr Trump Fan. It has been like living in a madhouse presided over by your gloating favorite person -- Jimmy Savile.

    1. Nicolas Sarkozy and David Cameron, as Obama said last year, are partly to blame for Libya, as is he - he recognises it as the greatest mistake of his 8 years. But Hillary is most to blame.

Tell me about the madhouse. Donald Trump seems to have been rather ineffectual though this may be because the media understandably loathe him.
